We had a fun short trip to Wales. It was just an overnighter. The first day we stopped at Tinturn Abbey, The Big Pit(a coal mine), and Cardiff. We were hoping to get to the welsh folk museum, but couldn't make it in time. We got to Cardiff just in time to wander around in search of dinner and then see the city at night. As we wandered we wondered where Tom and Katy were living this summer. Cardiff seemed like a great place even thoughwe didn't see that much. We cruised around the pedestrian shopping center, went by the castle, saw the stadium(they had a world cup rugby game there two days later), and various palces imbetween. We stayed at the youth hostel by Roth park. The next day we went to Castle Coch and then three church history sights, Benbow farm, the Beacon in the Malvern hills, and the Gadfield Elm Chapel. It was a spectacular day. The bus trip was entertaining because Dickie was on a roll. We hope that he will keep taking whatever drugs he was on that day.

I can't believe what a small (blogging) world it is. I won't go into how I actually came across this blog but I wanted to say hi and say what fun it looks like you are having. It's Melissa (Mildenstein) Cook. I can't believe how grown up your kids are! Time marches on I guess. Well - just a quick note to say hello and that I loved looking around your blog at all of your adventures.
What fun to see pictures of all of the Taylors too. Say hi to anyone from the good old 13th ward for me.
I will wait until you add commentary to comment.
Looks like it was fun! We are sad we could not be there. We are glad of one thing though, that we did not have to sleep in a youth hostel.
Amy...It looks like you are having a great time but I am concerned. I think you should consider the responsibility you have to keep an eye on our dear Uncle Dave and Aunt Kris. First Kris is getting sloshed on Beck's Beer (family name is still not an excuse), and now Dave is "on something" (check for those infamous little yellow mothers helpers that ol' Mickey likes to sing about).
Other than that beautiful photos, it is fun to see London etc from your view.
This looks like another fun trip. Lots and lots of fun to be had!
So Melissa, I bet you found Ringers blog through Erica and Maren. It is fun to see your family on your blog.
Amy, you are still the man (or woman) when it comes to blogging.
Millie: I know nothing about mother's helpers or ol' Mickey. Help me out here.

Uncle,
The Rolling Stones have a song about woman who were "running for the shelter of their mothers little helpers...these little yellow pills get them through their busy days".
It's speed. When Amy mentioned you being on something I thought maybe...
But I should know better.
Nope, it was good pure water and fresh air!
